Safety Communication
As you are aware, we have experienced a nationwide and local increase of school threats that have disrupted schools, sometimes referred to as “swatting.” Swatting involves individuals making prank calls or social media posts to emergency services to provoke a large-scale response to a specific location. We know that these incidents can take a significant toll on the school community. Please know that the Los Angeles School Police Department has reassured the public that they are aware of these threats and will continue to investigate each one to continue to ensure the safety and well-being of our school communities.
